The Benefits of Using a Doula Agency
We know that finding the perfect provider to support you through birth and postpartum is like finding a needle in a haystack.
We’re here to help answer all of your questions about the benefits of using an agency and using our streamlined process to find the best match for your family.
Welcome!
We’re so happy you are here today. The Family Foundations Agency is a Nationwide team of Birth & Postpartum Doulas and Newborn Care Specialist. We connect growing families like yours with trusted providers in your community.
What makes The Family Foundations Agency different?
We are a work family — The Family Foundations Agency team has grown with one thing in mind: community, communication, and collaboration. That’s why our team meets for coffee dates, trains together, has a private Breakroom chat, uses hive-mind thinking, and celebrates our annual achievements with an end-of-the-year celebration. We value our diverse team of providers, and what unique qualities each of them brings to the table. Some agencies work on a roster-style basis, where they do not have deep connections with each provider, let alone a team mindset. This industry can be very isolating, and TFFA’s team believes we are better providers, because we work alongside such a strong team.
We believe in the continuity of care — We want each client that entrusts The Family Foundations Agency to experience the special bond of working with a trusted provider, and seeing a familiar face each day. Each family will work with one provider for the duration of their service (unless you book multiple services with us!) rather than working with providers in a rotation. Our team knows that trusting someone in your postpartum space, and with your brand new baby is a decision you have spent a lot of time considering. Working with the same reliable, trustworthy provider day after day will ensure that your goals are met, and that you have best connection and overall experience. Pro Tip: Many of our Birth Doulas offer Postpartum Support, and can see you through your transition from pregnancy to parenthood.
We only work with the best, top trained providers — We require that every provider on our team goes through formal training before offering services. Many of our Newborn Care Specialists have trained with Newborn Care Training Academy, a program recognized by the Newborn Care Specialist Association, while our Birth and Postpartum Doulas have taken trainings with top-recognized programs such as CAPPA, DONA, and Birth Arts International. By requiring our providers to go through training, we know our team is trained with up-to-date, research and evidence based information, which makes us confident in the support and education they will offer to families. Having a team made up of highly trained individuals also allows us to accept reimbursement programs such as Carrot Fertility and Maven. Since being a Doula or NCS is not a regulated industry, training is often not a requirement.
We’re here on this journey with you — When The Family Foundations Agency successfully matches you with a provider, our job isn’t done. You can expect our administrative team to follow up with your family throughout your pregnancy and services, ensuring that you are receiving the best possible care. We are always available for questions, concerns, and feedback. We love watching your family grow, and we are cheering you on even when you can’t see us.
Imagine this
A restful postpartum period for the whole family.
What the process of hiring a provider with The Family Foundations Agency?
We have streamlined the process to hiring highly qualified providers, making this process easy and consistent for each family.
Check us out online — Browse our website to see the different services we offer, and all of the locations we have actively growing teams. We offer services for education and support through birth, meal planning / preparation and light housekeeping, on-call sibling care, daytime and overnight infant care, sleep guidance, nursery organization, and so much more!
Fill out an inquiry form online — Our short, but detailed inquiry form takes most families less than 5-7 minutes to complete. This helps us learn some basic details about your family, like where you live, what your due date is, what services you are looking for, and any information you want to share with us from the start.
Schedule a consultation call — Within 1-2 business days (although, typically much faster!) someone from our administrative team will contact you to schedule a call with us. This 30-40 minute call will help our Placement Coordinator learn more about your families goals, and help us make a recommendation on what package would be best suited for your family. After the call, we will provide you with any information or resources we have for you, as well as a quote for the services we discussed.
Sign our Enrollment Agreement — After our call, we will send you an Enrollment Agreement that states you wish for The Family Foundations Agency to find a Doula or NCS for the services we discussed. This allows us to share some basic information about your family with prospective candidates, and communicate some early guidelines about what you can expect during the process.
Meet your future Doula — or Newborn Care Specialist! We will present candidates that we believe are best fit for your family based on what service(s) you want, your location, the date of your services, and other parameters you may have set. We start by sending you a bio that details your providers experience and trainings, and tells you a bit about them. You will have access to their direct contact information, and can meet with them by phone, Zoom, or in-person.
Sign your Service Agreement — Once you have selected a provider you love and are excited to work with, we will send you a Service Agreement that outlines everything we’ve talked about. In addition to your Service Agreement, we will invoice you for any retainers or services, as outlined in your quote. Once we receive both your signed contract and your payment, you are official! Now you can rest knowing that you checked a huge task off your to-do list!
Thats it! 6 simple steps to get you the support you deserve to have.
We support families nationwide.
Wherever you are, coast to coast, we have a provider for you.
