Compassionate, supportive care for you and your baby starts here.
Overnight Newborn Care
While this service is often referred to as having a Night Nanny or Night Nurse, it is most often carried out by a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) or Postpartum Doula (PPD). At The Family Foundations Agency, we know that bringing home a new baby can be a joyous, but overwhelming, transition for many families — that’s why our team of expert providers are dedicate to bringing each family compassionate, supportive care.
What we offer:
Infant Care & Feeding:
Assist with feeding schedules (whether breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or both), helping with latching or bottle techniques.
Provide diaper changes and bathing to make sure the baby is comfortable and clean.
Parent Education:
Teach parents about newborn care practices (diapering, bathing, swaddling, etc.).
Offer advice on infant sleep routines, breastfeeding, and soothing techniques.
Help new parents build their confidence and knowledge in caring for their newborn.
Light Household Assistance:
Take care of basic tasks such as sterilizing bottles, preparing meals for the baby, and keeping the baby’s space clean.
May assist with light household chores related to baby care, but this is typically secondary to direct care.
Emotional Support:
Offer emotional reassurance, and support the parents during their adjustment to life with a newborn.
Provide a listening ear and help with any concerns the parents may have.
Infant Sleep Monitoring:
Track and monitor the baby's sleep patterns, ensuring safe sleeping environments (e.g., placing the baby on their back, in a crib with no loose bedding).
Help the baby fall asleep and resettle if they wake during the night.
Soothing & Comforting:
Offer soothing techniques to help the baby settle back to sleep, including gentle rocking, swaddling, or using a pacifier.
Address any nighttime disruptions, like excessive crying or discomfort, to help the baby (and parents) rest.
Rest for Parents:
One of the main goals of overnight care is allowing the parents to rest, so the provider handles all night-time baby care and provides updates in the morning about the baby’s condition, feedings, and sleep.
May include goals for getting baby to sleep longer, soothe independently, feel confident in their crib, and more, depending on each families unique requests.

We know you have choices when it comes to choosing overnight care for your infant, that’s why at The Family Foundations Agency, we make sure your family feels like a part of our family.
