The Family Foundations Agency Difference

When you're preparing for birth, the last thing you should be worrying about is whether the person you've hired will be available when labor begins.

At The Family Foundations Agency, we do things differently.

Rather than relying on a single independent provider, our clients benefit from the strength of a professionally managed agency. Our carefully selected team of Birth Doulas, Postpartum Doulas, Overnight Newborn Care Specialists, and Sibling Doulas works together to provide seamless support throughout your family's journey into parenthood.

Every member of our team has been thoroughly vetted, interviewed, background checked, and selected not only for their professional qualifications, but also for their warmth, reliability, and ability to provide exceptional care during life's most important moments.

When you hire our agency, you're not hiring one person—you're partnering with an entire team dedicated to supporting your family.

Our On-Call Coverage Model

Birth is beautifully unpredictable. Babies don't arrive on a schedule, which is why neither do we.

Beginning at 38 weeks of pregnancy (or another agreed-upon date), your family is added to our agency's on-call schedule. Rather than assigning a single provider to remain available for weeks, our agency coordinates coverage across our entire team of qualified Sibling Doulas.

When labor begins, simply contact our on-call line. We immediately begin coordinating the first available Sibling Doula from our on-call team to respond to your home.

This agency-wide approach offers several advantages:

  • Reliable coverage without depending on one individual's availability

  • Professionally trained providers experienced in birth and family transitions

  • Responsive scheduling for daytime, overnight, weekend, and holiday labor

  • Agency oversight throughout your care, providing an added layer of support and accountability

Our goal is simple: when it's time to head to the hospital or birth center, you can focus on welcoming your new baby—not scrambling to find someone to care for your older child.

Maintaining an agency-wide on-call system requires extensive scheduling, provider coordination, and ongoing availability behind the scenes, allowing families to enjoy the confidence of knowing experienced support is only a phone call away when labor begins.

Your baby deserves your full attention.

Your older child deserves to feel safe, loved, and supported.

And you deserve to focus on giving birth—not wondering who is going to pick up your toddler from daycare.
